Feather farming as an Ele?
I've searched through all the other threads related to farming feathers, and none seem to indicate where or how it would be possible for an ele to do so. Thus I was wondering where/how it might be done? I've tried Naphui Quarter but nightmare weapon is just plain mean, and the Avicara outside Droks strip enchants which can be annoying.
Anyone know of a good place and build (or at least build-type) for farming feathers? Thanks in advance for any help

Nahpui is generally the best. Or simply go for some tengus outside LA in HM.

Tengu outside LA, Nm would be fine as it is easier, i can sometimes end up with a fair bit. For some reason they also seem to like dropping golds.
[Edit] Damn beaten to it [Edit]

the Tengu at LA are probably best also noticed salvaging some of their gear also produces feathers, mainly the scalps.

I've done a few runs of that with my hero as 600/smite, starting in hot springs and working south to that place attached to LA and heading south to the big field where theres loads, tho hasn't been to effective really.
Any ideas?

Ok, so say I do go for outside LA, as far as I can tell the only interrupts would be coming from the mesmers, so perma-Obs Flesh is needed, and then the standard terra tank defence for the wars and rangers. But what to take for damage? Sliver armour would be effective, but would take for ever. Any ideas there?

personally, I had that idea a while back. Try the blessed griffons outside of camp rankor. They r fairly easy (I worked on a 105 rit), but watch out in HM due to them putting heretics with shatter enchant in. If you cover PS though you'll be fine. They commonly drop piles of about 24-35 for me

I know this thread is old but I happened upon it and thought I would share my knowledge for any other interested parties.
I use the following build to farm tengu in HM in North Kryta Province, Though a run generally takes me about an hour but that's because I farm the fire imps and scale as well. In HM between actual feather drops and scalps I can average one stack of feathers in about 2 rounds.
Please note this build was not orginally mine I can't recall where I found it but I know it's used for Destroyer core farming as well.
E/ME
Code:OgVEMIWJz5QLMAb1SxXV6rN4hA
Inspiration Magic = 8
Air Magic = 5
Earth Magic = 12 +4 (superior earth magic rune)
Energy Storage = 9 +1 (Minor Energy Storage Rune)
Full Geomancer insignias
Staff:
Earth Staff
Adept Staff head
Enchantments last 20% Longer Chance 20%
The trick to to make sure you precast 5,6,7,& 8 before aggroing the tengu so as to make sure that the mesmers can't frustrate or degen you. Keep a constant cast while they are pounding on you as the brave's can cause bleeding but you can survive through it by keeping up AOR(skill 1) and constantly casting your other skills. DON'T FORGET TO MAINTAIN 5,7,& 8 else you will die. Move in close to all enemy, the rangers can take a bit when there is only one or two but you can help it along by wanding them.
I hope this information helps other ele's out there

Yeah. Farming with ele in Jaya Bluffs is the best farm. I know there is one build with Inferno and Phoenix. Farm is on NM. If i get the build i'll post it.

its as simple as it can get.... with this, you can farm jaya bluffs NM in 10 mins(nt 15, lol)
since I do this on my sin who has perma sf armor, i run with shadow arts for the optional skills. here's template:
Owhj8NhsITWMeTOOxk0kTQNQuMA
note: this works on all professions... if u go ele, just take weapon of warding (rit skill) for a consistent heal + block (important too).. iau is for negating cripple so u can get 2-3 groups of sensali faster.. finish him for leftover sensali darkfeather... i use dash & dark escape for speed bost between fights, speed bost while aggroing 2 groups apart from each other and for 1/2 dmg reduction while aggroing 3-4 groups... u can choose other stuff, or choose to bring a snare or ANYTHING... anything will work, this is all you need... you don't actually even need the norn skills, but they rly hurry the run up alot
HF and gl on those feathers
